Use Wordpress To Update Roku Channel Content

Updating your content is a great way to keep your audience engaged. In this post, I am going to show you how to update a Roku channel using a plug-in for Wordpress. Using Wordpress allows you to create post with video and audio that you publish to an rss feed, then distribute to Roku.

Things you will need:

MRSS template from Roku SDK.

Blubrry Power Press Plug-in

WordPress.org Installation

Web Host

Place to store media files

Things you need to do:

1. Install Wordpress on your web host. (Your web host provider can help you with this) https://wordpress.org/download/

2. Install the Blubrry Power Press Plug-in http://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/

3. RSS Feed- Locate and copy rss fed url. You can find this in the Power Press Podcast Channel Settings.

4. Create a Post

5. Roku Channel Setup- Add rss feed to config.opml file.
